As someone who doesn’t particularly like wearing the color red (I think it makes my face look too flush), I am always perplexed about what to wear on Canada Day (July 1).  This year I opted for a white dress with a reddish purse & I am quite happy with the results 🙂

Dress:  J.Crew eyelet shirtdress {on sale!}
Necklace:  J.Crew Factory {old – nearly identical here and here}
Bracelets:  Gorjana leather wrap; thrifted branch-like bangles {similar}
Sunglasses;  Aldo Agrayssa {Cdn link here}
Purse:  Lauren Merkin Louise Raffia Clutch {Cdn link here}  {Also available at Amazon…on sale too!}
Shoes:  J.Crew metallic suede Cleo loafers {also on sale!}

Oh Canada

Sorry for the blog silence recently.  My last week was hectic (then again, whose wasn’t?) – between dog issues and a death in the family, I had little time to get any posts up.

Onto happier things.  This is one of the outfits I wore on Canada Day.  It is an unofficial rule that Canadians should wear red on July 1.  Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of red in my closet  – mostly because I hate the way it makes my face look more flushed.  The paisley print isn’t so bad (probably b/c the red is broken up?), so it was hands-down my go-to choice for yesterday.

Silk blouse:  J.Crew Rhea Popover (similar)
Jeans:  Guess {old!}
Snake-print Belt:  Winners
Necklace:  Amrita Singh
Bracelets: Amrita Singh Allie Bangle Stack {also currently on sale at Hautelook}
Sunglasses:  bought at Shopper’s Drug Mart {made to look like Ray Ban Wayfarers}
Purse:  Pour la Victoire ‘Haven’ Satchel (similar)
Shoes:  Lucky Brand ‘Christa’ Oxfords (or here)
