For some reason, I look especially sour in these photos.  Not sure why…I really liked this outfit.  The back of the blouse has some neat layering detail, although unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a decently in-focus shot.

Re-cycle a summer dress – Part 2

I am ultra annoyed that today’s picks are grainy (again!). I don’t know what the issue is…  At least I know yesterday’s pics are the result of over processing the images in Picasa…  However, this is not the case with today’s pics – there were next to no modifications made.

Otherwise, I don’t have a lot to write.  Last week was a blur of stress. Hopefully this week will be better…
I have some serious Christmas shopping to do.  Kevin and I started picking up gifts this weekend (‘early’ by our standards), but we are nowhere near finished.

Dress:  Kenneth Cole
Blazer:  I forget…and don’t have it with me right now.  Will update later
Earrings:  Nine West
Clutch:  Josette Cacnio (Hamilton-based Canadian designer)
Shoes:  Pour la Victoire ‘Dierda’

Colour Blocking into Fall…

I ordered these pants from Gap – in the United States.  Unfortunately, the Canadian Gap stores only sell certain tall styles.  Since I REALLY wanted these pants, I bit-the-bullet and ordered them from the American Gap website. After paying excessive shipping fees and border duties (annoying!), the pants finally arrived this week.  While I am not thrilled that I paid nearly double the regular price, I am very happy with my purchase from a fit and style perspective.  I do however wish that Canadian stores would sell more clothes in ‘tall’ sizes.

Silk blouse:  Jacob (I am not normally a big fan of smocking, however I made an exception due to the cut, colour, and fabric (silk!) of this top – I bought it over 3 years ago & it is still a staple in my closet)
Corduroy pants:  Gap
Scarf:  Drugstore find (no brand)
Wedges:  Kenneth Cole New York “Why Knot”
Bag:  Steve Madden
Cuff:  Lulu’s
Glasses:  Armani Exchange
