A royal blue monochrome look with my new Joe Fresh slim fit pants

blue monochrome outfit

Do you ever find yourself in the mood for some really good conversation?  Today was that day for me.  Not sure why this happens.  But boy, do I ever feel good after a good thought-provoking conversation with friends/family/strangers/etc

On a different note, this outfit kind of reminds me of when I was a girl guide.  Not sure if that is a bad thing or not…

Sweater:  Reitman’s {old, and a bit of a shorter style than I normally wear – not sure whether I should have let the blouse peek out from underneath…thoughts?}
Blouse:  J.Crew {circa 2010}
Pants:  Joe Fresh {love the colour, however they stretch out slightly…should have sized down}
Bracelets:  Club Monaco gold leather wrap, Amrita Singh bangle stack
Sunglasses:  Armani Exchange
Clutch:  Le Chateau {bought in 2003/04 for my 2nd year undergrad formal}
Shoes:  Sam Edelman ‘Portney’ {I would have preferred beige pumps for this outfit, but unfortunately beige pumps are one thing my wardrobe is missing – they have been on my ‘to get’ list for about 2 years, but so far I haven’t found anything I like that are on super sale…}

Happy Daylight Savings Time!

I hate to admit it, but I have been excited about daylight savings time for at least two weeks.  That extra hour of light in the evenings is wonderful – it’s a happy sign of spring.  Maybe I have a touch of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), becasue my mood is always positively affected by our annual “spring forward” into daylight savings time (and I loathe the end of DST, such a downer).
