Printed pants

These pants are made of really thin fabric – so thin that 1) I was worried they may look a little like pajamas and 2) I doubt they will get much wear this winter as they are not practical for braving the cold weather.  Regardless, I think they are really fun – for casual Fridays.  Probably not for days where I any sort of formal meetings.  Maybe it is just a mental block, but for the time being, these pants are definitely reserved for dinners with friends and meeting-free days.

There is still snow…

We are having an unseasonable warm spell in the Ottawa-area again this week.  Even though there is still snow on the ground, it is warm enough to wear shorts (yesterday) and sleeveless tops (today).  This is my kind of March weather!

Public Speaking

Today I had the pleasure of speaking at a local high school about my career choices.  This is the 3rd (or 4th?) year I have been asked to come speak.  Hopefully this means I am doing a good job.  With the exception of one student who fell asleep in the front row (eeeek), I think everyone was pretty engaged.  I should point out, I can’t judge the sleeper too harshly – that used to be me.  You really can’t beat a good classroom power nap.

I actually wore a white cardigan over the blouse when I was speaking.  However, I really like this blouse and wanted to photograph it without the sweater.
